Mon avis : J'avais adoré le premier tome, assez surprise d'ailleurs, ne m'attendant qu'à une banale romance sur fond d'urban fantasy. Les personnages, l'intrigue, la mtyhologie, tout m'avait beaucoup accrochée.
Je ne peux pas dire que je n'ai pas aimé ce second opus, toutefois, je n'y ai pas retrouvé le même plaisir. Je me suis souvent ennuyée, j'ai trouvé des passages inutilement longs, voire inutiles tout court. Les personnages ont évolué, et ces évolutions ne m'ont pas toujours plus.
Will devient trop directif, et même si je comprends son dilemme entre son devoir et ses sentiments, ses incessantes hésitations, ces "je t'aime moi non plus" ont fini par me lasser.
Quand à Ellie, son incroyable faculté à ignorer tous les signes et à foncer tête baissée dans le danger est parfois agaçante.
A côté de cela, on n'oublie pas qu'Ellie reste une adolescente, et qu'on aimerait pas être à sa place. Tant de responsabilités pèsent sur ses frêles épaules, pas sûr qu'on ferait mieux.
Un tournant est pris dans l'histoire dans la dernière partie. On ne peut pas dire qu'on est surpris, on attendait seulement le moment où Ellie comprendrait. Toutefois, cela laisse envisager un dernier tome plus sombre, avec plus d'action, surtout compte tenu du cliffhanger.
Bref, ce tome comporte bien des défauts, mais je lirais la fin sans aucun doute.
